John Francis is the Managing Director of Fraser Kearney Capital Corp., an investment company that oversees the Francis family office.

Prior to forming Fraser Kearney, John was President and CEO of Trader Media, a rapidly growing Advertising as a Service business that published print and digital formats across all the major classified advertising categories. Over his tenure he grew the business over ten times through organic growth and acquisitions ultimately exiting to a public acquirer.

In addition to serving on the advisory board of Altas Partners, John is a director and founding investor in both OTI Lumionics, an applied materials company serving the OLED display market, and NoNo Inc., a late phase neuroprotectant addressing the stroke market. John served for over twenty years as a director and past chair of SickKids Foundation and The Hospital for Sick Children and currently serves as an ad hoc member of the SickKids Investment Committee. He is past chair of the Investment Committee of the Rideau Hall Foundation, and past chair of the Bigwin Island Golf Club.

John was educated at Western University’s Ivey School of Business (Honours Business Administration, with Distinction, 1986) and serves on the Ivey Advisory Board.
