Joe Natale is a seasoned executive and CEO with over 30 years of experience as a leader, operator, and business builder. He is a Senior Advisor to Altas Partners and directly supports several of our portfolio companies.

Mr. Natale is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Communications, a publicly traded communications and media company and Canada’s largest provider of wireless communications, internet, TV, and sports entertainment services. He led the largest acquisition in the company’s history with the $26B purchase of Shaw Cable.

Prior to joining Rogers, Mr. Natale held several executive positions at Telus Communications including President and CEO. Telus was a regional telecom provider that grew rapidly into a leading national consumer wireless brand and enterprise player.

Previously, Mr. Natale was a Senior Partner at KPMG and held successive leadership roles with KPMG Consulting including Global Managing Director within the consumer and industrial markets segment and Country Leader for Canada. Prior to KPMG, Mr. Natale was Co-Founder and CEO of a business transformation and systems integration consulting firm which was acquired by KPMG. Mr. Natale began his career as a software engineer.

Mr. Natale has served as a Director of Telus, Rogers, TD Bank, Livingston International, Home Capital, and Celestica. He serves on the Board of Directors at Sun Life and as lead Director at Shopify. He also serves as a board member and Advisor to the Creative Destruction Lab, a global start-up accelerator with locations in 5 countries. Joe is a Trustee of Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. He is also a past recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
